A few weeks ago on our wedding anniversary, my wife and I decided to take a day trip to Scarborough on the North Yorkshire coast of England. Now, my wife’s idea of a day trip to the seaside is to spend time in the amusement arcades, and mine is to wander around taking photos. So we compromised and spent time in the amusement arcades! I did however see these lonely deck chairs on the beach whilst walking between the arcades and just had to snap!
I was there early to get a photo of the Twisted Chicks, 5.38am to be precise, and without a tripod with me, that meant a shutter speed of 0.5s.
I am coming to the end of a 5 day visit to Joao Pessoa in Brazil. Although it is a working visit, I have been able to find some time to get out and about with my camera. During my stay, my inspiration for photography has come from the long stretches of golden sandy beaches, and true to my minimalist self, I found just the shot I was looking for!
