On Parade

DSC_0452

More often than not I am trying to avoid trees and other street ‘obstacles’ in order to get a clean view of my intended subject. Not here. The sun was at a perfect angle,  with the ‘on parade’ trees bathed in brightness, providing superb contrast with the shaded wall.

  1. Trees, the bane of my life! If you see a new building going up it’s all you can do to get there and photograph it before they plant about a hundred spindly little trees all around it.

  2. An interesting example of natural forms used as contrast against industrial form -re-arrangement and manipulation of nature as just another building material. Our built environment is so full of this mechanistic use of living forms in a very self-conscious manner. I have found myself a fascinated student of this phenomenon. Great image BTW! G
