Change your perspective

DSC_2005

Much of my minimal and abstract photography is looking straight on at a wall or object, because that style appeals to me. However, sometimes it is just not possible to get far enough away from the subject due to the proximity of other buildings, busy roads, or other distracting objects. If I feel the subject is just too interesting to pass by, I will occasionally tilt the camera to get an interesting perpective. This technique can lead to particularly dramatic results when there are many lines, as in this example.
