I have always loved reading maps, something which my family find very strange. Whilst they can get engrossed in the latest best-seller, I will think nothing of picking up a map, or these days going to an online map, and browsing it. Sometimes it is actually for the purpose of finding my way from a to b, but most of the time purely for interest.

Good idea and nice composition. I’m found of old maps which were suggesting the pomp of sinking empires (a feeling which could be aroused by EM Forster or Jane Austen..). But I’m also living in the real world …
